Buying a Vehicle
Getting Started
We strongly recommend you secure financing by getting a pre-approved vehicle loan,
like our Auto Draft, before you even start looking for a vehicle. That way, you'll know how much you can spend and you'll
have the buying power of cash at the dealership.
Getting What You Asked For
Don't let vehicle manufacturers offers of "low-rate" financing deter you from shopping around for the best
vehicle loan rate. Dealer financing that promotes a low annual percentage
rate can pull you into the showroom and may be available only on select models.

Should the dealer offer you a choice between low-rate financing or a cash rebate, it's
often best to take the rebate and finance the purchase elsewhere. Always compare
CoVantage financing to alternatives. Our rates are among the lowest in the area. For more information on comparing dealer financing with CVCU financing and trying a comparison calculator, click here.
Avoiding Hidden Penalties
Some financing plans have penalty fees for early payoff. There's never a
penalty for paying a CoVantage loan off early. Our car loans are calculated using the "simple interest" method, which means the finance charge is assessed on the amount of loan outstanding. So if you decide to pay off your
CoVantage vehicle loan early, you'll actually save on the finance charge due.
