Once you’ve determined you are eligible

  • Visit one of our locations or apply online and fill out a membership application and open an account. A $10 deposit in a regular share (savings) account is all that is required to establish your ownership share in the Credit Union.

Once you’re a member

  • You are eligible to apply for any service or benefit that CoVantage provides.
  • You own one share of CoVantage no matter how much money you have on deposit.
  • You are eligible to cast one vote during the annual election of the Board of Directors. You will be given advance notice of when this takes place.
  • You are eligible to be a member for life, even if you move outside our charter area. Keeping your account active, maintaining the required $10.00 balance in a savings account, and ensuring your accounts remain in good membership status, are all that is required for lifetime membership with CoVantage Credit Union.

Important information about procedures for opening a new account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
