CoVantage Credit Union has kicked off a fundraiser raffle for the Boys and Girls Club of Langlade County. The prizes are $5000 for first place, $1000 for second place, and $500 for third place. Tickets are $10 each, three for $20, or ten for $50 and can be purchased from any credit union employee at all locations or at the Boys and Girls Club of Langlade County.
For the past sixteen years, CoVantage has sponsored a similar raffle aimed at benefiting a local non-profit group. Since 2000, the Credit Union's annual raffles have raised over $136,000 for the Boys and Girls Club.
The raffle drawing will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce Customer Appreciation Day at the Langlade County Fairgrounds.
We have multiple systems working behind the scenes to ensure your accounts are protected. Two areas that we put a lot focus on monitoring are debit/credit card activity and online/mobile banking transactions. Here are a few ways we work to prevent unauthorized access to your accounts:
Debit and credit card activity is monitored 24/7 for potential fraud, and in some cases, suspicious transactions are blocked until the cardholder can be contacted. For example, we have an alert service that will send notifications to the cardholder if fraud is suspected. You may be contacted in the following ways to confirm or deny the suspicious activity:
The ability to provide alerts and the channel in which alerts are received depend on the contact information we have on file for you. This is one of the reasons why it is very important to make sure the account information (mobile number, email address, etc.) we have on file is up-to-date in the event of a possible fraud situation. Please call to make sure your information is current.
When using online banking, today you are challenged with security questions if our systems determine you are using an unfamiliar device or IP address at log in. We also offer an option for enhanced login security on your account that will replace the security questions with OOB-phone, OOB-SMS, or KBA. Below is a detailed explanation of the three challenge methods that are presented in place of the security questions:
You can enable this security feature by clicking on the Manage Account icon, selecting Secure Login Enrollment, and following the instructions.
In the coming months, we will update the enhanced login security to include the option to be challenged every time you log into online banking…not just when suspicious activity is detected. Watch for more information on our website or in-session advertising.
This summer we will be rolling out enhancements to our virtual access channels to make accessing your accounts simpler, paying bills faster, and managing your cards easier!
Here are just a few of the ways we're making your banking easier: - Streamlined access: One user ID and password for both online banking and your mobile app - More mobile features: loan applications, managing your debit and reward credit cards, and e-Statements - Simplified design: one look whether you are accessing your accounts from your desktop, iOS, or Android device
If you use the mobile app, simply watch for an update in the app store. Watch our website in the coming months to learn more about these changes!
