‘Party at the Park with a Purpose’ Supports the Fox Valley

In July, a tornado tore through portions of the Fox Valley in Northeast Wisconsin, leaving many individuals and families facing the difficult task of cleanup and recovery. As these communities continue rebuilding, opportunities to connect with and support our neighbors are incredibly meaningful.
At CoVantage Credit Union, we believe in bringing people together through community events, partnerships, and volunteer efforts. One tradition our team looks forward to every year is Party at the Park, an annual family event held at Barker Farm Park in Menasha, Wisconsin. Designed to bring families together through food, games, music, and fun, this year's event was scheduled to take place just a few weeks after the tornado impacted the Fox Valley area.
We could have canceled.
Instead, we saw an opportunity to make an even greater difference.
Party at the Park became Party at the Park with a Purpose, a community-focused event dedicated to supporting local families affected by the storm and bringing our neighbors together during a challenging time.
Our goal was simple: provide meaningful support and essential supplies with dignity.
Through our Fresh Start Station, dozens of Fox Valley families received laundry baskets filled with household necessities, including a roll of quarters, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap, and other everyday essentials to help with recovery efforts.
We were also able to provide free food for hundreds of community members, offer raffle baskets with free tickets, and treat families to complimentary ice cream and slushies. The event created an opportunity for community members to access practical resources while enjoying time together with family, friends, and neighbors.
Being there when our communities need us takes a true team effort. We are grateful for the many CoVantage team members who donated raffle items, volunteered their time, and helped make the event possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our event partner, Menasha Parks and Recreation, for helping us bring this community recovery effort to life.
At CoVantage Credit Union, our mission is rooted in helping people overcome financial challenges and achieve financial well-being. We work to provide access to affordable lending solutions while helping individuals and families avoid high-interest debt. But we know recovery goes beyond finances. It also means showing up, offering support, and meeting people where they are when they need it most.
Party at the Park with a Purpose reflects CoVantage Credit Union's commitment to supporting Fox Valley communities through volunteerism, community partnerships, financial well-being initiatives, and disaster recovery efforts.
We are proud to be part of the Fox Valley community and remain committed to helping our neighbors build brighter futures together.
