Accel Members Financial Counseling*
Accel Members Financial Counseling is available at no cost, as a benefit of your credit union membership. Financial counseling is over the phone with certified, professional counselors. There is no appointment necessary; counselors are available six days a week. There is no limit to how many times you can utilize Accel’s services. There are several areas of free services:
Immediate Financial Counseling and Budget Counseling Call Accel for immediate help with financial questions. You can request multiple sessions with the same counselor or different counselors. Personal and family budgeting sessions focus on your concerns and needs, including a detailed worksheet and action plan.
Debt Management Plan Accel will contact your creditors to negotiate concessions and/or work out loan payment agreements including lower interest rates, elimination of fees and collection activities; at no cost to you. Counselors work to assist with repayment plans with all of your creditors and help you manage all your debts, not just your credit card debt.
Housing Counseling HUD-approved counselors can help members with everything from pre-purchase education to foreclosure prevention.
Financial Education Articles and Podcasts are available through the
information library and contain information on personal financial topics such as consumer awareness, credit reports, credit rights, credit scoring, financial difficulty, housing, kids and money, money management, and retirement.
