Government Shutdown Assistance

Thousands of furloughed government employees and those whose employers are reliant on government contracts have been impacted by the federal government shutdown. Still more people may be affected if the shutdown impacts tax returns. For some CoVantage members, this means that they may not be able to keep loans or other obligations current.

  1. We’re offering no-fee, low interest loans with 3% off the rate of a personal unsecured loan to help eligible members cover the gap for delayed paychecks. Plus, make no payments for 90 days. Contact a Member Specialist at your local branch to apply.
  2. If your pay is disrupted and you need a loan payment extension on a current loan or credit card, contact our Member Solutions department at 715-627-4336 or 800-398-2667, ext. 2404 to discuss your options.
  3. We offer all members free and unlimited access to certified professional financial counselors through GreenPath Financial Wellness. Get immediate help by calling 877-332-2235.

 

Eligibility Requirements: To qualify, you must submit proof of eligibility as a federal government employee, or employee of a company who holds a government contract.

Terms & Conditions: Government Shutdown Assistance will be provided to members in good standing with CoVantage Credit Union. 3% off the rate of a personal unsecured loan offer excludes Kwik Cash, auto loans, credit cards, mortgage, and commercial loans. Offer ends with when the government resumes as normal; subject to be withdrawn at any time. Offer subject to credit approval and you must qualify for assistance under CoVantage Credit Union’s normal underwriting standards. No payments 90 days from date of the loan.
